Anyone have the CC Bulletin to stop using Fantastik?
When did this come out? I've been using Fantastik for the last 2 years. Shouldn't these bulletins be mailed to each owner? I have never received any bulletins.
I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.
If we can be of service to you, please contact us anytime!
I thought they were in favor of the Mequires Vinyl and Rubber cleaner/ protectant. I have used this for years and my 2000 looks like it just came of the show room floor.
I think it's mighty convenient that Fantastik changed their formula just as G&T released their own new line of cleaner, which is the only recommended one now. I tried looking on Google for any notifications of Fantastic changing it's formula, but found absolutely nothing.
Call me paranoid, but it seems all to convenient a time for Fantastik to magically change their formula.
That said, I emailed them for more information on their new product and never heard back from them. I would like to get some, but couldn't find a source for it online.
This discussion occurred last year or before. The vinyl care card that came with my 2004 stated Marine Specialty Group Cleaner with 303. I bought some (5 gallon box) from them and use in regularly but only for deep cleaning. The mild soap and water (dawn) is always the first step, rinse, MSG, rinse, rinse, then 303 and buff.
My vinyl still looks like new. I have five little ones, ages 3 - 12, and if it can stay ahead of them, its good in my book. I use the same process on the car plastic as well.

They actually added some anti-bacterial stuff and or made everything "extra" strength. Heck, the bottle has even changed.
