SV 211 - Design Changes between 04 and 07 ?

I understand the seat backs on the 07 - 211's are a bit higher than previous model years.

I have also been told the floor is 1" lower. Does anyone know if this is fact?

Have there been any other changes between the 04 year and the 07 year?

I am not sure but I think they raised the seat backs to make it appear deeper. The ballast pumps have been moved and the dash is different. The biggest difference for me is the prop rotation for 07. Other than that I didn't see a lot of differences in the 06 to 07.

Here is what I know, but there may be more:
- 05 Polk momo interior speakers- used to be white clarion speakers
- 06 Changed ballast system to 3 reversible Jabsco pumps rather than 6 bilge type pumps. This eliminated 3 emtpy holes in the hull and the valve controls on the dash.
- 07 seat backs made higher to make interior seem deeper

i just thought of one other thing i heard, in 06 they eliminated 300lbs of weight in the manufacturing/contruction process of the 211. Not sure if this is true but a dealer told me this at the boat show. I noticed the weight on the specs dropped from 3800lbs in 2005, to 3500 in 2006. Feel free to call me wrong on this, its just what i was told.

They also made the seat pads thinner between 04 and 05 so people would sit deeper in the boat.

I have owned an 05 SV211 Team and now have a 2007 Team both with the closed water cooling/ZR6 option. Differences include:

Elimination of Walter's V-Drive unit/replaced by PCM unit (this results in slightly more power (less loss) and quieter operation

Change in prop rotation due to above

Different stock prop due to above

Ballast Pump upgrade with High Output Marine pumps mounted just under engine hatch. These units reverse flow and water comes in and out the same holes in the hull. Water only exits via side drains as overflow. These pumps also have an auto shutoff mechanism. There are no longer helm control valves only level gauges

Improved dash gauges

Slightly different functions upon start up with helm electronics (bilge pump starts and stays on/seperate 12V button/no fresh water shower button)

Upgraded Perfect Pass Unit with larger display area

Upgraded Clarion XMD-5 Stereo and newer helm wired remote

Accesible center bilge pump and water intake valves via Ski Locker

Improved board rack retention cords. Two cords that go from inside, over both boards and then latch on outside vs. 4 cords that go from inside out (simple but huge improvement)

Improved internal light covers

Different graphics/fonts/textures on logos and side graphics

Battery selector and breaker box relocated in walkway for easier access and visibility

Rear walkway structure/underside and closure mechanism improved

Elimination of cupholders and 12V outlet at step below walkway

Plastic cup holders replaced with stainless

Seat cushions reshaped (more square, less rounded off) and made taller.

Grab handles moved from inside cabin by loveseat to tower on both sides. Better storage areas on Port side along with speaker placements

larger glove box with different texture on top


I'm sure there are more but needless to say Correct Craft did an outstanding job of improving on their product in just a few years time.

Sorry I can't help you there. I went from an 05 to a 07 manufactured in April. I can only speak to the total delta of changes.

My 07 has a CMD4 stereo, and the grabrails on the tower are missing (that's a nice touch, my wife bitches about having nothing to hang on to riding passenger all the time).

The PCM transmission is new for 2007, so the 2006 would have the Walters and opposite rotation.

High seatbacks are an 07 addition. 06 are flush with the deck.

Not sure about any of the others.

Thanks for the input - we got the 07 model and I now see some of the changes are certainly an improvement.

I still have a few hose leaks but hopefully the I fixed the last one tonight - will find out with the water test tomorrow
