New trailers

Any advice on what is the best new trailer CC has to offer? How does the Prestige trailer rate? Thanks in advance!

I have a prestige for my 206, and would not purchase another. The trailer bunks have come loose several times and it's less than a year old! I could go on and on...

I always hear good things about the Ram-Lin trailers.

I have a Prestige and have had nothing but problems with it. I would not even consider purchasing another.

I have owned two Ram-Lim trailers. My '94 single-axle was great. The only thing that I didn't like was that the side steps are made out of wood, and that wood will hold water, eventually causing rust on the frame. My 2003 Ram-Lin dual-axle has the same wooden setup. I have heard of some people replacing the wood with diamond plate. Other than the wooden steps, the Ram-Lin trailers have been great for me.

I cannot recomend the prestige trailer that came under my 2003 206. There are some obvious engineering and design flaws. The tongue is way too long, the front roller sits too high and the running gear protection is too low. Removing the tongue takes too long and is not doable by wife or teenager (too heavy and brake fitting too stiff). As a consequence of the above, corners are too wide, uneven pavement means the trailer hits fore or/and aft, launch ramps must be perfect and the boat does not easily fit in my garage.

I like the Ramlin over the Eagle because the boat sits lower which I presume makes trailering safer.

I like the Eagle for the tounge that swings back. It is simple to do, just pull a pin and swing it. Also the workmanship on the trailer seems to be top notch.

Great info - I ordered a 211 in March and didn't pay close attention to the exact trailer manufacturer that was ordered. Based on what I've read here, I got nervous and checked the Invoice - we ordered a Ramlin Tandem with disc brakes. Lucky Us - sounds like the Prestige is pretty questionable.

Here on the west coast we have DHM out of Sacramento. I believe they are under all of the boats out of West Coast Correct Craft. Their trailers are AWESOME! The fit and finish are great and I've never in my 30 years of treailering towed a smoother more responsive trailer.

Ram-Lin makes a quality product. You won't be disappointed.
