New 236 Perefect Pass Problem

Just got my new 236. I love it. Have about 10 hours on it so far. The only problem I have is that the perfect pass is a little squirrelly and has a mind of its own! It works decent in smoothe glassy water, but if you hit any chop or inconsistency it goes haywire. I run my wake board speed at 24.5 and once it gets to speed it will go and then jump to 26, 27 28 and wont back off. Then when you manually slow it a bit by backing down throttle it goes to around 20mph, give it some gas and it goes up but then hovers around 20. It drives me nuts!!! How could this new of a boat have a messed up perfect pass???? Is there a way to calibrate the perfect pass or service it? I am gonna have it looked at at the first service at 20hrs, but 10hrs is alot of riding time that I would like to have constant speed!!! Thanks for your help guys

Have you checked all of your settings (NN, KdW, CS, etc.)? Mine was a little tricky to get dialed in too, but it seems okay now.

What do the settings need to be at??? I think mine arer set to 100, 100 and zero off of speed. I dont know how to work them...Any tips??

When is it doing this? In a straight line, after truning, etc.? Mine had some issues when I got it.

Mine does the same thing. User error I am sure on my part. It is almost like there is another setting of a speed inside that it is trying to get to. The second attempt at it I had a little more luck. Mine is doing it in a straight line.

Okay, I got mine totally dialed in today. It is keeping speed within 0.1 MPH no matter what now. Try these settings:

CS: 680
CR: 1540
KDW: 235 <--- This needs to be really high due to the weight of the 236.
NN: 60

I'd suggest keeping the override setting off unless you're a very experienced driver.

override? I was told my 06 211 PP had no override.

I had problems with the PP disengaging after I made a turn. Was told by CC and PP that if the throttle (TBW only) isn't open far enough the PP will pass it (try to override to hold speed in the turn) and disengage. Fix was to push the throttle all the down after PP engaged. It fixed the issue. FYI

The '06 PP didn't have the override feature. It returned in '07.

Casey, I was having exact same issue. I ask Aron at P/P and here is reply

Hi,

You need to push the throttle out of the way after it engages. The DBW
systems are not like the old mechanical systems. You can not manually
assist it, if you do you can cause the ECM to stop responding to
PerfectPass, giving you problems like you are describing.
