Rear Pylon On SANTE

I know that in the 01 thru 03 SAN the rear pylon was a factory only option. Is this still true for the 04?

You can get it one of two ways from the factory. Either with or without it. If you ordered it without, a dealer would be able to add it later if you wanted it. Is that what you are trying to ask?

Mine was ordered with it but came without it. I did not know if CC changed in 04 to add the backing so the pylon could be added latter or if I am S.O.L.

Not sure if they bother to put the backing in there but with some work, that could be done at a dealership and they can install it.

If the rear mount pylon is not on the order, then no bracing is installed and no holes are drilled for it. It is easy to install at the dealer so if you would like one I'm sure the dealer would put it in.

Thanks guys--I kind of panicked when I went to look at her for the first time and did not see the pylon, especially since they cannot be added to certain years.

I'll calm down but she's been in town for six weeks and I drive by her twice a day to my office.

i dont think the pylon was an option on our 04 SANTE. at least it didnt say that in the options list.

"Rear Tow Pylon" are an option for all 210 trim levels. My dealer always orders them, unless requested not too. Unfortunately, my order was mixed up with someone who "requested" no pylon and he ended up with one (mine) and I ended up without.

Still concerned about the backing, the pylons are under considerable stress and unless it is attached to the main supports, I will have problems

If your dealer is a good one, you will have NO issues. I wouldn't worry too much there.

My dealer is fantastic, the Pylon is installed and I will have the pleasure of writing the check Friday morning. By Friday evening, I will be in the water.
