1993 CC Trailer Refurbishing

I need to re-furbish my 1993 CC single axle trailer.

Questions........

Side Steps & Inside fender wall - Is there a source for templates of teh wood so I can customer cut? Mine has been completely removed.

Turnbuckle - I've seen some posts referring to this. Is this the connection securing the boat from the front loop. Currently, I just have a heavy chain there but it does not hold the boat firmly in place so the bow moves up and down during travel. What's the best set up here?

Lights - Is there a source for replacement lenses of the lights?

Rear tie down - 1992 SN....what's the best way to tie down the rear?

I have a 1993 SN and my DHM trailer needs a new paint job but is in OK shape other that that. Their website is full of everything you might need to get your trailer back in working order.

I have never tied the back of my boat down with straps or other. Never felt the need and I trailer our boat back and forth on bumpy Idaho roads. Boat seems to stay right where is it suppose to. I have seen retractable tie down straps that people bolt on to their trailer right below the swim platform and then connect the strap to the either the platforn support bars or other hooks on the back of the boat.

I have the straps on my boat and love them. I was following my brother on a long trip a few years ago and watched his ski nautique jump up in the air after hitting a bump on I-5 here in CA. He installed them after I told him that Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

I think the LED trailer lites are the ticket.
Tie downs from platform brackets to trailer.
Inside wheel wells, old adage....measure twice, cut once.
My DHM has a crank at the front in lieu of a turnbuckle.

Thanks to all for the great info. I looked at the DHM wbsite. I see that they have replacement fender pads with carpet. DOes anyone know if these will fit my CC trailer? Also, I'm wondering if they have pre-fab step pads with carpet as well.

I'll likely call them today to find out and will post the answer here later.

I'm really surprised CC/Eagle/Ramlin etc...hasn't come up with an alternative to the wood on the trailers. The rot is a known problem.

They have. I ordered my Ram-Lin with diamond plate in place of the wood. Seems to be working out quite well.

Trailer Refurbishing

You might want to consider replacing the plywood running boards with Marine Board. If you don't, rust and rot will always be a problem. I installed running boards made from Marine Board.
