    sv211 perfect pass

    I just purchased a brand new 06sv211 team. I am trying to fiqure out the perfect pass. I have been through the set up ect, I take it to speed, but it will not hold.

    The boat in both Ski & rpm mode will not hold speed. I have tried setting it to 34 or 36mph for skiing. It takes control of the boat for a moment, then drops the speed down to 20-22mph where it will stay.

    They have the manual online. I would start there. Best to do if it's acting funny is to reset it to factory defaults and start from scratch.

    In slalom mode, you're running off RPM only, the speed setting does nothing (weird, I know). You have to adjust the BaseCal to get it to match the speed to the RPM. When you're in slalom mode, highlight the > arrow with the menu key, and press "V" (I believe, might be "^"). This will drop you into basecal. Jack the RPM up. For 34 MPH you will need around 3800 if you still have the factory prop. Good luck!

      I have a team edition boat that comes with a power prop, I don't know the pitch.

      From scratch it is.

        I just went through this process last weekend. Outfit the boat like you are going to ski with a couple people and the trim tab in slalom mode. Drive the boat to 36 MPH using a reliable speedo (not the PP speedo). Note the RPM at this configuration and speed. Now go into the slalom mode, highlight the arrow in the upper right corner, press the "v" key and you are in RPM calibration. Use the menu key to highlight the baseline RPM and bump it up to the RPM you recorded in your test drive. Once you get the RPM configured so it holds at 36 MPH, from the RPM baseline screen highlight the arrow in the upper right corner and press the "v" key to get to MPH calibration. Drive the boat 36 MPH using a reliable speedo and adjust this screen to match your boat speed. This screen I found easy to calibrate as you are driving. I just matched it up to my boat speedo. Others use a GPS.

          I was told that the slalom mode only works when you're driving a course with the magnetic bouys?? The fix was to switch to wakeboard mode and set it for speed or RPM. Works perfect that way. '04 SV211 TE
