AFAIK it's standard on the V8. You don't see it on the V6, at least not on the 2006 models.

The Disco has a huge "cool" factor, no doubt. Perfectly at home on a mud trail as well as sitting in the front row of the valet lot at a country club. The 03 engine, after further research, is a huge improvement so most of my comments are aimed at the 02 and earlier Discos.
I have a 99 discovery 2 with the rear air suspension and it will tow and stop our martinique decnetly, but above 55mph, it starts to fight the car a little. it is a single axle trailer though. i bought the disco because it is cool and i wanted one, and i only back the trailer 20 feet to the water, or go a couple of blocks to get gas. if i had to tow alot, it owld get a f250 powerstroke.

i would not trust towing this size of a boat with a 4runner. i had a 96 model and there is no way it would handle the load, it was too light.

        RE: tow rigs

I tow our 07 210 with a Dodge 2500 mega cab 4x4 Diesel and it does great. I just like a vehicle with weight to do my towing with, also use the truck to tow my tractor.

That's about the same truck my roommate has, but it's a Quad Cab Diesel 4x4. We usually use it instead of the SUV. The 3/4 ton suspension is normally rough, but I think it rides better while towing the boat. The tongue weight settles the suspension a little bit. Only time it struggles is up a really steep hill, but vehicles without trailers lag up that hill.

Yup, tranny cooler is standard on the V8 4Runner. Not sure about the Sequoia or Tundra.

The '88 will hitch up with anything. She'll be with a Ford F150 next week going to Green Lake.

Wish I could say I towed with one of these... http://unicatamericas.com/en/pics/EX...NTGA6x6-2.html

But I tow with a 1995 F-150 2WD long bed with extended cab. Only pull for a couple miles from storage to the water. It does a great job!
