I just recieved my new 220 the other day and was very disappointed with the condition of the boat. The rub rail was discolored, the trash can lid had chips, the other bread box had a tear in the vinyl, there were several little nicks in the gel coat, and several other things that bothered me. I understand that things are going to happen to a boat over time, but to come from the factory like that I don't understand. For as much as I paid for the boat I expected it to be prefect. I owned a Crownline for 8 years and never had a tear in the vinyl in that time nor did I have the nicks in it. I finally was in the position to get my "dream boat" this year and I feel let down. Has anyone had problems like this with a new boat? Any ideas what I should do?

RE: New Boat Questions
Sounds to me like a dealer was rough on it getting it water ready??? Complain to dealer first. If you get the run around complain to correct craft. They will make good on it.2001 Super Air Nautique

RE: New Boat Questions
The boat should not have been delivered to you let alone even shown to you in anything less than Pristine condition...
From time to time we do get a few little probs prior to Pre-delivery of a boat, but one email sorts it out straight away and majority of time it is damage in transit.
Give your dealer the opportunity to fix it in a reasonable time frame, if unsatisfied talk to CC. Very sorry to hear your Nautique experience has started off on the wrong foot

RE: New Boat Questions
To be honest, I can't understand why you would actually accept the boat and leave the dealer with it in the condition that you described? I understand that you've probably been waiting a while for it and can't wait to get it on the water, but if I'm paying $60K+ for a boat, you can bet that I'm not hooking it up to my truck and leaving in that condition.2001 Air Nautique
