Correct me if I'm wrong, but you didnt like the Air graphic in 04-05, despised the tribal graphics, and didnt think highly of the new 220/210 Super Air graphics. Obviously, you have the right to your oppinion, and you're not alone in not liking a lot of bling and many graphics out there. But, out of curiousity (sp?), what kind of graphic WOULD you like to see on a Nautique?

I ask b/c you are one of (or should be considered) one of CC's best/most-enthusiastic customers. You take the effort and time to create your own site reporting on the industry, and you've gotten interviews that no one else has gotten. You represent the more "conservative" side of the market with regards to innovation, functionality vs. flash, lights & stareo setups, and especially new graphics... this is why I'm interested in what you would like (or be satisfied with) on a new Nautique in this day and age...

Austin - I would be satisfied with seeing a 220, 236 or 230 with zero graphics, or something that is more classic and timeless. The only way to achieve that now is to order the boats with no graphics or get creative with a wrap. But I could be completely wrong about having that request/need. I expect a 236 or 230 to be my next boat - a ways out, but still that it what I have my eyes on.

I do know from MasterCraft directly, that they've experimented with toned down graphics for the X-1 and it has been met with huge complaints from customers. Anecdotally, their customer base wants the 'crazy stuff'. If I were ordering anything but the Ski Nautique, it would have no graphic on it and I would order old decals and come up with my own design or do a wrap. You know that in general I would prefer the whole industry to just tone it down a bit - that goes from boats to gear to closed toe boots that look more like a women's Prada handbag than a piece of wakeboarding equipment. Maybe I am old. Maybe I am a perpetual malcontent with regard to styling on boats. But seriously my issue is just related to the Air graphic on the wakeboard models but for the most part I do really love those boats. And I completely support the Ski Nautique even from a styling standpoint, so I am still very supportive of what they do. I am very nit-picky. Maybe a little bit petty. I see your point. Consider me "put in my place".

To answer your question, I would prefer to see Correct Craft take the approach they've taken on the Ski Nautique and apply that to the design of the wakeboard-specific models. These boats are pushing 90,000 and they should be timeless. 90,000 takes a long time to pay off. That is what I have always said and I do stick to that.

That said, I'll begrudgingly admit that this is better than what we've seen in past years.

If I came off too harsh - I am sorry.

I just ordered a new 220 yesterday, I talked to the powers that be and I was told that you could only get that graphic on the new 230.
I tried to get it it and they said no way.

There is never a "no way". Just order your 220, take the graphic off yourself, order the new graphic from the dealer, and put it on yourself. It may not be available right now, but I'm sure you can eventually order the new graphic from the dealer.
