I skied behind Zero Off this weekend. Ran right through 35off on my first set. While the description of the A setting seams to fit my style, I actually preferred B. Looking forward to more testing. This might be worth a boat upgrade!Promo Team member

Blue, Mood lights are pretty simple.
I changed out all the bulbs in my guages and replaced with small blue L.E.D.s. The only one that isnt blue is the red backlit depth guage which i couldnt get to the bulb. Replaced the under gunnel courtesy lights with 6 in. neon blue and added one under the steering wheel too. Of course we chose the neons that can bump with the bass notes.... Pretty good mood light now. Sorry, I have no decent pics. It is hard to take pics of lights at night...or my camera is too cheap or i suck at photography or all the above...

Am I wrong in thinking that perfect pass would be less accurate in a current? I would that that the paddle wheel rotates based on the linear flow of water past it. Traveling down river, the flow of water would be slower than the actual speed at which the boat moves down river. i.e. boat moves at thirty mph and the river has a current of 3mph. Cumulative speed would be greater that 30mph. The opposite is true when travelling against the current. The boat is running 30mph and the current is workign against the boat at 3mph. The boats forward progress is actually slower than the 30mph that perfect pass would report.
This is where I would figure GPS based would be better. It measures actual speed of the object in motion and does not rely on a physical measure by an axle or paddle wheel.Eric Fox

Eric, you are right that PP measures the relative speed (+ or - the current). But that exactly what you want!! The boat drives on the water (current) and not on main land. I really do think the paddle wheel is the only way to go.230 with ZR6 running on propane

Your actual speed in a slalom course is a time tolerance over a distance. If you are not within the time tolerance you have to re run the pass. It does not matter what any river current is doing, you have to deal with it. If there is a 3 mph current, you have to get used to passes at 33 mph water speed one way, and 39 mph water speed the other way, assuming you are skiing at 36 mph.

The deviation on my set was .01 using the PP timer.
The next day I went back to my lake and had no problem making the transition back to PP. It is not a huge difference. I'd just say ZO is a little smoother.
Let's put it this way.... I am strongly considering a new boat next year and selling my '03 because of that one set.Promo Team member
