1. my ballast pumps are killing me. they will, without warning, decide not to work in either direction. the lights on the dash will indicate that they are filling or emptying, but no pump activity will occur. sometimes the breaker in the rear port compartment will be tripped, sometimes it wont. now here's the interesting part: when the breaker is not tripped, i remove the warming tray and switch the wiring between the pumps (i.e. port switch wiring to belly ballast pump or belly switch wiring to starboard ballast pump, etc), that is the only way that i can get the pump to kick on. after i do that, i then switch the wiring back to normal and all is well...at least for a while until the voodoo enters again. all 3 pumps have done this on several separate occasions with no rhyme or reason... any thoughts?
2. the other night coming off of the lake my dash "locked up." any key on the key pad that was illuminated could not be turned off. any key that was not illuminated could not be turned on. the boat could not be turned off. the whole thing was not functional. i had to pull the kill switch to shut the boat off, then to reset it i had to turn all of the batteries off... has this ever happened to anyone else?
