i love my 236 but the wake is driving me crazy, I usually ride with two of my friends. one driving, one riding and one dancing around the boat trying to clean the wake up.(very frustrating). I have two fly high wedge sacks, one fly high tube sac in the ski locker, one u shaped bow sac (fly high) and 550lbs of lead to go with the factory ballast. I have tried filling emptying and shifting weight everywhere to clean up the lip, with no remedy in sight. the only thing I have not done is add the lead to the nose under the bow sac, I am reluctant to do so due to the lead bouncing against the hull. One other piece of info, When I took the boat in for service I complained about the out of the hole performance, the dealer recommended a power prop 14.5". there is all the info I have. I think? HELP!!!!!! Never had this problem with my 210, I miss it sometimes

RE: stop my 236 wake from washing PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
do you have a pic of your issue? does it do it 100% empty or with just the factory tanks filled? my friends 03 210 with factory ballast and a 1000# of lead is very sensative to wieght movement. he keeps a 50# lead plate on the floor and he moves it side to side and front to back to get rid of the wash all dependent on how much fuel/gear/people involved. im laughing right now just picturing your buddy running all over the boat. but i do hope you get it figured out.if you friend is say 165# and shifting that maybe to much wieght moving try using 50#or75# and sliding it side to side my buddy just read over my shoulder and said this will fix your problem he is the cc freak so ill defer to him. give it a try and let us know. a pic would be a big help!!

thanks for the input I was exagerating slightly about the running around part. I do have 50 pounds that we shift around in the boat, when the stock ballast is full we can come close to cleaning it up but with the fly high bags filled the wake is huge but washed at the top. will try to get some pics later in the week. the lead is mostly under the two back seating compartments right now. thanks, russ

RE: reply
So what is your current distribution of weight throughout the boat (i.e. how much in the back, middle, and front)? It sounds like you may have a bit too much in the back with the factory ballast, the FlyHigh wedge sacks, and the lead.2001 Air Nautique

That's exactly what I was thinking. Speed may very well have something to do with it. I run about 1,000 pounds above stock ballast, and at 23.5 I don't have any issues with the wake washing out at 75'. Once dialed in, the 236 is much less weight sensitive than the 210.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. RE: reply
Big boat, big weight = more speed. My buddy's 220 wake washes if we really load it out and dont speed up some. We usually ride about 22.5-23 with 2000lbs of added ballast. Any slower and it washes and is foamy....2001 Super Air Nautique

RE: 236
Crazy... not, just takes a little bigger cahonies to hit it.
Hitting a 3' wake at 28 is nothing compared to hitting a 5.5' ramp at 35+mph. Most pro's ride around 26-28mph. It was fun getting enough hang time to think about things before getting prepared to land.
