    prop puller...

...anyone run into a situation where a standard C clamp shaped prop pull would not fit in between the blades on a 4 blade prop?

    RE: prop puller...

Yup, I had to get one with a twist in it. The offshore guys use them. Don't get the one with the three or four bolts that you tighten, it's terrible.

yep. My old c-clamp style 3 blade puller would not work on a 4 blade. But my buddies 4 blade works on both 3 & 4. The neck is narrower and let's it slip between the ,closer, 4 blade. I just ground the neck on my 3 blade and it works like a charm now.

                My good friend did this.....
mark on your puller where it binds and doesnt fit. Take a grinder to the puller. Just dont make it too thin/weak...Worked for my friend. Now his old 3 blade puller will do 4 blades.

                ^^^guess i should read first. :|
