211 timing

I recieved confirmation on my 211 yesterday - I'm in the build scedule - That's cool!

I had 24 hours to to make any changes - none were made. So, what's next? How long,..you know the usual questions.

I hear 6-8 weeks for dilivery, but it may take longer at this time because the factory is sold out for 04 and is making the max amount...

AbunDiga909 is correct. You can expect a 3-4 week lead time on the materials needed (gelcoat, skins etc.) Another 1-2 weeks for the actual build process and a week for delivery to your dealer. CC typically trys to complete boats intended for specific dealers concurrently so they can maximize the shipping...

Last I was told, they were building 2 211's a day in addition to the other models. They are really busy at the factory right now!

Two a day means that boats that started the build process approximately 10 days earlier exit the factory at a rate of two per day. It's impossible to build an entire boat in day - not enough hours for the gelcoat and fiberglass to cure....

I am sure that is what he was trying to say. There is no possible way that a boat could be built in one day and I am sure that being a dealer, he knows this.

Your dealer should be able to give you an estimated ship date. Then add 3-7 days for shipping and 1-2 days of dealer prep. If you ordered a trailer, delivery has to be coordinated to arive at the dealer with your boat.

On Tuesday I was told that my ship date was mid to late May which means I may have the boat for Memorial weekend if the dealer can swing the prep time, which he is already scheduling.

I have my order confirmation (I'm getting the Air SV211) and mine is supposed to arrive the 1st week in May into the state to be prepped (in Sacramento) and then delivered to the Dealer in the 2nd week.

One other thing, I've been looking for a Hydro-hoist and I found out that the boat weighs 3800lbs even without the 730lbs tanks filled. This mean it's over 700lbs heavier than the 210 (I've been told its the floor design) Even thought I was first looking HH 4400lbs model at first, it looks like I'll need to get the 6000 lbs to support this boat instead.

When he says "boats per day" it means how many boats are being built in each dept. in a day. Motor Installation dept is buliding 2 211 in one day, that is everything having to do with that dept. (engine, ballast, electrical, steering...) The next day the same 2 boats will go into another dept. to be bulit.

I will be back on may 3 to relieve you of steering cable jobs. They are so hard to change aren't they??? just kidding. I can't figure out exactly who you are so I guess you should PM me and fill me in.

Just for clarification, I was saying that they are "completing" 2 211's a day right now.
