Sharp Turns

Obviously one of the great attributes of a SN is it's unbelievable handling through turns.

I've seen some posts here about hard turns with speed and the stress it may put on the boat.

I've noticed that sharp left turns in my 92 SN seem to put more stress on the boat. When turning left with some acceleration the boat has a certain level of roar that does not exist when turning right.

Is this normal?

Yep, due to the rotation of the prop.

my dealer assured me that sharp turns, or "power turns," are alright on the boat, as long as you let off the throttle as you turn sharper and sharper. I am confident in this b/c thsi is exactly what he told me to do while test driving his own personal 216. On the other hand, turning sharply while accelerating is not too kosher. In addition, common sense overrules everything--the Nautiques CAN turn extremely sharp while maintaing its excellent handling, but that doesn't mean we SHOULD do them 24/7

Becafeful with Sharpe turns. I just had a friend thrown his wife and HER girl friend out of a Ski Nautique over the 4th being stupid. Also lets face it, if you beat your car they won't last so long either.
