I have a 2002 210 and I'm thinking about trying to insulate the port cooler. Has anyone ever tried this? I was thinking I might try to take it out and coat the outside with Great Stuff or some other type of insulation.

i did the sprayable foam thing in my calabria. the cooler sat in the floor right in front of the v drive and would not hold ice for anything. i lined it with the spray foam, and it would hold ice for 2 days afterwards.... -

Are you talking about the ports side glove box or under the seat "coolers"??
Maybe not a great solution but I throw it out there... why not buy a softside cooler that fits either space?
In my 210 I always loaded a standard igloo cooler and put it behind the drivers seat. It was one thing that I always disliked about my 210 was if I did that it took up most of the space behind the seat and almost rendered the starboard side rear passenger seat useless.
Let us know how the spray foam solution works out if you go that route.Comment

The glove box cooler. I sometimes throw in a cooler behind the drivers seat if we're going to be out all day. The problem is that if we're going out all day we usually have a full boat and need the space. The soft cooler just seems like a pain to get in and out. I think I'll try the foam. It would be nice to have a functional cooler that looks factory. I'll post when I try it.Comment

I have a similar situation with my 99 SNOB. Getting some insulation from McMaster Carr to fit into the floor cooler. If it works out, I will post pictures. How do you get the spray in foam smooth? Never had much luck with that stuff.Comment
