thanks.
are these categories noticable to the average driver / skier? or are they "nice to have" but really not needed or noticable unless you're a pro?
Also, is the fuel efficiency of the 6.0 a lot worse, or about the same?
I had an Excalibur in '02 and ZR6's each year since. I have never noticed a harder slalom pull, but the jumpers have commented each year that they loved the boats and they gave them a very strong jump pull. I feel that the ZR6 is a very smooth running engine and more efficient than the 5.7 due to better head design amongh other things. You also get closed cooling that will make the engine last longer through a more even control of temperature and less corrosion. (the heaters put out more heat as well and they are easier to winterize). In my opinion fuel efficiency is at least as good as the 5.7's for any given speed. If you were to run a 5.7 and 6.0 wide open, the 6.0 would use more fuel (at around 4 MPH more speed). Most of my boats are sold to friends at the end of the year and I still ski regularly behind the '03 and '04. Both have held up perfectly long term.
