Crad - I checked out the Pro Air post you talked about. I've decided on either a Sport or Air and I did see TMB's boat listed. Pretty much exactly what I'm looking for with the exception of the GT-40 motor. I know the Excal 330 is a good one, but I really want to find one with the Ford motor. Also, I've had no luck selling my boat and have resigned myself to the fact that it will be spring before I can get serious in looking for a new ride.2003 SAN (current)

Red - I was a big GT 40 fan and had reservation when I had to go to a 330. I've had 2 how and can't say I see a difference. At the end of the day it still a PCM and they have the best inboard motors in the business. If you could get into TMB boat looks like a sweet deal. Not sure where your from, but you in for the PN reunion I have posted. TMD you have to be there with your new 216. We could be twins. Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

Crad - yeah, I have a couple of friends with a 211 and 216, both of them '07s. Both have the Excal 330 and they are both happy. My bud with the 211 has had (9) other CCs and he commented that he really liked the GT-40. Said it has great torque, started and ran like a top, and he had no issues with any of them. He also said that in his opinion the GT-40 motors were better on fuel.
Anyways, I'm in Raleigh, NC and we spend all of our boating time at our house on Lake Gaston (NC/VA border). As far as the reunion goes, I might be up for something like that depending on the location. I still have a Chaparral I need to sell so I'm not in the official CC family yet. I don't have a vehicle to tow, so even if I had an Air/Sport I'd have to leave it home. Now my buddy with the 211 can haul his around and he may be up for something like that. I'll have to mention it to him, and I'll keep an eye out for more details on the reunion.2003 SAN (current)

Red - Just a suggestion. I would put your boat on traderonline the week before your local boat show or no later then Feb 1. It will sell quick. Boat show put people in the mood.
Tell your friends. If you still want to come let me know. You can hang with J and I

Crad - good idea. Right now I have it on Craig's List and haven't had a single e-mail about it. I figured I'd wait until Spring to do Boattrader.com - didn't want to drop $100 to advertise at the end of the season. I think our local boat show is in February so I may list it after the first of the year.
I'll pass along the info about the reunion.2003 SAN (current)

I put my 2000 Sport on trader from 30.00. Sold in 3 days. I just had 1 pick. Good luck. I've never heard of Craig's list.

Red-
Don't rule out the Pro Air based on what you've gathered from those who have posted on this thread. My opinion is that a lot of the information is ignorant. To all of those who say that there isn't a difference in the wake of an Air and a Pro Air they're wrong. I've rode behind both and there IS a difference.......it's called the TWC hull. The TWC hull was created to make a bigger more shapely wake......the Air doesn't have this hull.
I haven't had problems with my PP and it's the version that came with the boat in '00.
About the only thing I can say I agree with is the gauges......if they are original they will fail.........everyone's pretty on top of that one.
Look.....don't rule out a Pro Air because of the few people negative people on this thread. Likewise, don't purchase one because I say mine is great and has no problems. The smart thing to do, once you start really looking, is make it a boat by boat case. Get in there and look it over real well. More importantly, get out there and test drive it. Most importantly, get in and ride behind it!
Good luck!

My buddy has a 99 proair and loves it. Its a shame that they did not continue with it in a vdrive version. My dealer says that is his favorite wake of all the CC boats. As to the pitfalls that have been listed I cannot comment on. Great boat and wake.2001 Super Air Nautique

Chris - great advice. There seems to be a limited number of Pro Air boats available for sale, most likely because of the limited number of years they were made. The gauges are an issue for any of the boats made in those years, so that won't dictate what I look at. I have noticed that a lot of the boats that I'm looking at that have the digital gauges list ridiculously low engine hours. Great example was a 2000 Air Nautique that the seller listed as having 56 hours. Obviously the digital gauges had been replaced, probably more than once.
Anyway, I enjoy reviewing the Planet Nautique site weekly and have gotten lots of good info/advice in the forums. I'm looking forward to the day I can officially join the Nautique family.2003 SAN (current)
