    Throttle By Wire

What do you think of the TBW? In the 07s that I've driven the throttle is loaded way at the top. 0-34mph is in the first three inches of travel with the rest of the throttle travel feeling dead. Is there a way to adjust that?

I do not know about the throttle felling that way. Mine is just like my 06. But a word of caution on the 08 RLXI throttle. Watch it when you first engage the throttle. It is very sensitive. At the BBD, every person that got in the boat to drive it the first time surged it and if you were a passenger standing, you were in the lake. I think they are all going to be that way in the future with the Digital Throttle Control.
I just have to rib you about the boat thing sorry.

I kinda thought the 06 felt the same way. Everything loaded in the first few inches of travel. After that, nothing. I guess its just something to get used to...

My only experience with it is on an 05 197. My initial reaction was that there was no driver feedback built into it like on a wired throttle. I couldn't tell if I was giving an easy up or ripping the skier's arms out of the sockets. Almost like taking a mouse and clicking go.

On the other side of the equation though, perfect pass locked in tight with zero hunting. Can't argue too much with that feature.

It's running smoothly on our 2006. The first inch is enabling the transmission and afterwards just the normal progression until the end. When driving with this boat I didn't had any drawbacks. Everytime forgot it was TBW except for the smoothness.
