barefoot rope length?

you all that barefoot what rope length do you use on a 196's.... I have a 07 196 and just started to foot again trying to get the rope length right....

90 foot for our 196.

85 or 95. there is no 90, unless you cut your own rope. you need to add the 5' extension. 75 is too short IMO, but try it out.

for wake slalom 75 is probably the best, for tricks you'll need to go longer. too much trough... its really not a barefoot boat.

Pretty sure most ropes come in 10' increments. Forget about the handle (5'), we're talking about how long the ROPE is . If you're adding in the handle you might as well subtract the distance from pylon to transom.

If you like to cheek out and do all your skiing on the curl go 80. If you ride in the table go longer, 90 or 100.

I agree with Hollywood. Behind my 96 sport if you are in the table you will want 100 min as the trough feels like 6" deep or more.

Sorry. 90 foot rope plus 5 for the handle. Not bad for front and back deeps.

we use 100 foot rope on my 92 SN 196

You want to be right at the edge of clean water meaning that if the water is still bubbly where you are sking the water can become soft. If you or no one in the boat can tell, you can drive the boat at speed and let your line out only, sometime it will just drag nicely behind the boat. You can then tell how much line you need out and just remember your adding 5ft for your handle.
