I'm sure most of you have read through this thread about North Point Watersports and how they are no longer a Correct Craft dealer.

An issue was brought to my attention a couple of weeks ago, and I want to share it with all of you. While the discussion in the previous thread was taking place, a new member by the name of WylieRilee registered on PlanetNautique. After researching this user, I am almost certain that this was an employee of North Point Watersports and that they were trying to impersonate one of their customers. It turns out that the customer was already a member of this site, he saw their post, and notified me. The ID has been removed from PlanetNautique's database, and their (untrue) posts have been removed.

I have also heard that NPWS has been engaged in other highly questionable activity over the past several months, but I'll refrain from getting into that. I know that I would avoid dealing with North Point at all costs.

A friend told me the other day of a discussion on Planet Nautique titled “Nautique Quality questioned by dealer” and mentioned that I might want to take a look at what was being said. As I read through the pages I was alarmed by a post that was made by a user with the newly created ID (9/8) of “WylieRilee.” You see my name is Steve Rilee and I live on Lake Wylie in Charlotte, NC. My Planet Nautique ID is “H20Skier.” That being said it would seem as though someone out there with ulterior motives is trying to impersonate me and paint a little different story in regards to my transaction with the former Correct Craft dealer North Point Watersports (NPWS) and what really transpired.

In a nut shell my dealing with NPWS were extremely frustrating. Countless phone calls that were ignored and numerous occasions where I was told things that simply were not true! I documented each of these instances and made them known to the management team at Correct Craft. I can only assume that my comments and those of others did not fall on deaf ears and thus the reason Correct Craft recently decided to terminate their relationship with NPWS and begin the search for a more suitable business partner in the Lake Norman and Lake Wylie areas. Long story short, yes, I was disappointed with the overall condition my boat arrived in however in the end it was Correct Craft not NPWS that stood by me to make sure I had the product I wanted and that I was 100% satisfied.

I don't know who ditched who and I don't care. I do know that mine was one of the new boats that North Point had to send back to the factory for repair of serious flaws. Correct Craft could not or would not fix the problems and were blowing me off. North Point stepped up and bought my boat back and got me another new boat. It also has its own problems but thats another story. Maybe North Point and Correct Craft got tired of fighting each other.

That dealer sounds like a real class act! How pathetic!! I wondered when that post came out, it was a little too fishy when the "member" joined and instantly posted a reply like that. I was going to say something at that time but kept my mouth shut. What a sad situation on their part!

That was not research, that was an investigation. I don't know what you do for a living, but maybe you need to get into law enforecement. GOOD JOB and thanks for all the work you do on this site!! It is my only CC fix while I am home with my ACL injury.

Just goes to prove, AGAIN, telling out right lies will almost always come back to reveal whomever as just that. A liar with ZERO credibility, and a reputation that gets worse, and enlightens those who were unaware.

I belong to 4 other forums, and help mod one of them. I'm very aware of this.

My point was, even lying on the internet won't ensure you get away with fraud/lies etc. There's almost always gonna be a circumstance whereby someone knows the truth, or tells someone who knows. :grin:

You got to admit this is some funny stuff. If they would have just keep there mouth shut and let CC drop them and pick-up the MC line all would have been good. Now they end up all over the internet looking like a bunch of idiot’s. And poor MC, they thought they were picking up a high class old Nautique dealer and really inherited a problem dealership with a bad reputation. I wonder how long that will last. I am sure MC holds there dealers to just as high standards as CC.

haha i see some humor in it too... first off, the owner of this dealership must be a joke in himself. But, besides that, the fact that he thought he would better his reputation by pulling this stunt off is just something to laugh at..

What's sad is the new owners of North Point have trashed the reputation that the old owner worked so hard to build. I have known the previous owner since 2002 and I never met a person with more compassion for the product than him. It's very hard to believe that a business would sink to this level, to impersonate a customer of theirs. Don't think I will have anything to do with them again!!

I agree with Ernie2002. I knew the original "North Point Watersports" owners. They lived and died by Correct Craft, and it showed. I think things started going down hill when the present owners (who owned another dealership, selling another brand of boat), bought out Northpoint. They did not truly love Correct Crafts like we do, or the original owners. How sad. Yellow_Flash_Colorz:
