    PlanetNautique Newbie....first post

    Hello Everyone,

AirTool here. I've just registered...and this is my first post. Last month we bought a 2006 Air 206 Team Edition and LOVE IT. What machines (tools, that is) these inboard Nautiques are. I had never even ridden in an inboard ski boat before. I'm thinkin' this Air 206 should be a great all around boat. We've put 20 hours already and will be out again on Sunday after church.

I look forward to contributing to this group as I clock some time behind the wheel and "under the hood". I've got a few questions to ask already but will save those for later.

We have pulled 4 footers several times, no problem.

Airtool, welcome to the site. I am sure you will get to know several people here, it is a very friendly and outgoing group here. just out of curiosity, where are you located, and what are you into?(wakeboard, slalom barefoot?)
Quinner, that is a beauty of a boat, I think last time I saw it, there were several bra's hanging from the board racks? that was you at Green Lake last year right? anyway, nice boat, love the color.

            AirTool, here....I'm in Houston, Texas.

Right now I'm into driving and fun. Mainly to drag my small kids around. Next summer I'll be in shape to participate. (promise) My six-year-old has been tubing behind an i/o since last summer....started on an O'brien fun board last month and can already stand w/o holding onto the tether. He has been in gymnastics since age two and his balance is phenominal. Next...strapless kneeboard with ski rope then standing up on a jimmy jam. After he's comfortable holding the rope, we'll put him on something w/some bindings. I've bought all towables new on ebay at end of summer prices...what a deal.

206 is yellow on top and white on the bottom...quite sporty looking. The yellow transom is beautiful in the water. Being a UT grad....I'd have preferred orange/white or solid orange like quinner's blue. That solid hull color is awesome and will never go out of style. I shopped and shopped for second hand and could not pass on this yellow/white. It was almost the exact way I would have ordered it except yellow instead of orange. Vinyl is grey not white...I prefer grey but don't know if white was a choice. Every time I've had this boat at the ramp, someone stops, stares, and comments. I know some of you like and need the bigger wake boats, but the classic DD model with the shallow draft and a nice tower just turns heads...even on the trailer. ****, maybe anything that says Nautique on the side...will turn the heads. (even without bras on the tower)

Quinner ...owner's manual says not to pull skier's from the tower....four footers proves them wrong ....holy crap that is a nice shot. That hull design also amazes me...handles like a dream and leaves nothing but foam at 30+ speeds. p.s. what prop are you running and do you have any ballast bags?

Not sure about the manual saying don't ski from tower, you wouldn't want to slalom from the high tow point but everything else should be fine, some say to be careful towing a tube from there however as long as it is not too crazy it should be fine as well. We have the factory ballast tank, about 200lbs, never used anything else other than bodies for ballast. Running the original prop, I believe it's a 422.
