Just bought a 93 sport, couple questions (wakeboarders enter

I just bought a 93 sport and it seems like a pretty decent boat (It will be replacing my 85 2001). I rode it yeaterday and it seemed that the wakes were pretty simalar. Is this wake gonna be better than the 2001 when 1 or 2 sacks are loaded? I couldnt really tell. Also just wondering, I found out that the ACC1 switch is for the 12v outlet, but havent tore it all apart to find out what 2,3,and 4 are for, any leads. I can rip it all appart but would rather not if you guys have the easy answers for me.

All in all I like the boat and the storage will be nice, I guess I was expecting a little more with the wake though. Any thoughts?

Not quite sure about the wake on the sport, being that we have an 88 2001. Just wanted to know if you drive a Toyota (from your name)? I hope that you enjoy the new boat, we would love to have that extra room with the expanding family. Cheers!

ACC2-4 usually run the heater, shower, radio, if equipped. I've been in several Skis, Sports and SuperSports of this vintage, and the order seems somewhat random, depending upon what options were installed and who installed them.

You don't have to tear apart much - you can stick your head under the dash and see where the wires run, or if the circuits aren't attached.

I just bought a '92 Barefoot with a 454 Vdrive and I thought the wake was lacking quite a bit when I took it out the first time with just me and a driver. I was pretty worried about what potential it had......I still haven't got my sacs for it (planning on picking some up cheap over the break) but just loading the boat with a few friends made a huge difference in the wake last weekend. I am pumped about getting some weight in the boat along with my friends.....that wake it going to be sick. Just wait till you get the weight before you make any assumptions about the potential it holds.

I bought a '97 sport earlier in the year. With no ballast the wake is absolutely tiny however now that I've loaded it up with 450lbs of lead at the stern, 300lbs in the bow locker and 350lbs either side of the engine, the wake is fantastic.
You need to put as much weight to the stern as possible or else the wake will be really mellow and rampy, the further the weight is towards the back the more vert it will be - in other words the more like your old 2001 it will be.

Less speed or to much speed kills the wake. I had a SN and know a SAN. The speedgap is 2 mph on the SAN. In this zone wake is big. Less its low and more its also low on waake. So get used to your boat.

              we have a 93 and a 98 sport.

basically u gotta load that sucker up with weight! the more the better! ha ha. i usually run a sack in the ski locker a sack in the bow and a sack or2 in the rear and the wake is nice.

I remember on my 91 nautique excel I ran a sack in the bow. a sack along the rear seat.

              5 batteries in the bow,

a vdrive sack on each side of the motor and 2 batteries on each side of the motor as well this made a great wake on the excel too

Thanks for the replies guys I saw potential, but didnt know how much. To answer the question, I have an 03 TRD off road Tundra stepside. I used the name on a forum before I got on the nautiques or mustang forums so I just stuck with that cause it is easy for me 8-)

I want to get out tonight but i dont think I will have time. My gelcoat is kinda chalky and faded and I have been slowly working at that lately. I know it will come back really good and I can t wait to make it look new. The wiring is kinda a pain cause I cant see where the wires go underneath the dash unfortunately. It is all closed off with 'glass and comes out 1 3 inch or so hole so I really have to follow the wiring and take the dash appart which I think I might do cause my auto and manual bilge are tied together somewhere and I need to seperathe them. (I rent a cabin for a week and moor the boat so having that is kinda paramount)

I took it out this week as mentioned and it seems like I got excessively more water in the bilge than my 2001 did. How do I check the shaft packing cause besides the muffs leaking, I dont see where it was coming from. I was out there for 3 hours and there was probably a good 1.5-2 inches of water in there. I didnt notice much except there seemed to be a lot in the ski locker and thats when I checked the bilge.

                Any thoughts?

Son watersports in anoka minnesota. I dealt with Mark and Dave there. Both stand up guys there. I bought my 85 through Mark when he was a one man show 5 years ago. I cant say enough good things abouth him, he treated me great and actually when I had a couple things wrong with my then 17 year old boat, he paid for the things to be fixed 100% (exhaust manifolds, carb rebuild, something else minor) I couldnt believe it. I do most of my boat related dealings through him just to give him the buisness. Rant over

I have a 1997 Ski. I also have the four breakers like you have. The wires attached to the four breakers just stopped under the deck, above the steering wheel. I did not have to pull the dash pod to get to the end of the wires, just lay on the floor in front of the drivers seat, and the wire ends might be just above your face, wrapped in the bundle.

I figured it was that one, Mark is a very nice guy I had pieces of upholstery work on my 94 sport, are you going to put a tower on it. If you do give wayne at new dimension towers a call thats where I got mine at.

I have a skylon now. I didnt plan on selling it with the other boat so I think I will just keep that one for now. I may later on in life but the pylon does well enough for me.

My arms are beat. I have been woking on getting that hull back to original for 3 days. Electric buffer, super duty rubbing compound for abou 7 hours, 3 hours of less agressive finishing compound, and 2 coats of polish, and I am hopefully ready for 2 coats of wax today too. I got the beat up, varnished platform looking pretty awesome too. If you saw it on the website, you remember how faded it was, you should see it now. It looks nearly brand new. I will see if I can post pictures maybe tomorrow. I was planning on bringing it back to Mark to show him the progress as I live about 8 mile from there. I am pretty excited to get it done. I still have to cut a couple cupholders and cut for the speakers. After that, it is rewiring the stereo and adding an amp and probably puting in a new head unit. The last stereo install was an amature job at best, the wiring is just a horrible job (I am an electrician and scrutinize work probably too much for my own good) I just want to get it all cleaned up just in time for storage. I have a feeling this is gonna be a fun boat though.
