Maintaining your boat while on a lift

So, I'm lucky enough to have my boat on a private lake--on a lift. The HOA does not allow lift covers, so I have a mooring cover that goes down past the water line. The only negative is that I'm not afforded the opportunity to wash my baby after every use. What do you guys do with lifts? How often do you pull the boat to wash/wax it? What do you do about the waterspots in the meantime--vinegar & water mixtures, etc? What do you think of the lemon pledge idea?

Towel the boat down inside and out after every use. This is the easiest way to keep it really clean. Then you don't have to do that one really big cleanup at the end of the season. As far as waxing, it is up to you. How anal are you about your boat? The water and vinegar works well and so does boat washing acid that is diluted. Then follow that up with a nice soapy wash to nuetralize it.

I hope you didn't mean for him to do that with the boat on the lift in the water.

SGY, if you keep a mooring cover on it make sure you have plenty of fresh air movement underneth.
