Will a prop make a difference in terms of pulling the stern of a 2001 Super Air down into the water, thus creating a taller wake? I have an OJ 856 I think.

buddy's 2003 w/ similiar weight has different shape wake. Only thing I can think of is the prop. (Team prop for 2003)

Not sure I completely agree with Noelb, but I would say it is more than likely small differences in weight and placement. Only real test of that is make sure it is identical. I think the prop does change the wake subtly. Everything affects it.

The only thing the prob will change is the rooster tail. The wake is caused by the down force of the boat. Weight/ hull of the boat pushes it down. The prop pushes it forward.

Are your boats running in different depths of water?
Are you boats in both fresh/ saltwater?
Is the water color at the 2 locations the same?

same location. I'm pretty sure the hulls are the same. His wake is just more vertical. Is the PCM heavier than thegt40. Maybe that's it.

Could it be bow weight?

Do you have a belly ballast in your 2001. If running with only rear ballast, I would expect the
more vertical wake. If running with belly ballast, but the same or similar rear ballast, then I would
expect a less vertical, more rampy wake. BKH
