Early 90's open bow size question

Please no one take offense to this but I'm not a big fan of the windshield being farther from the nose to accomodate the open bow.

Im wondering if the early 90's open bow SN windshield position is the same distance to nose as the closed bow boats of that era. I'm also assuming the bow access is walk over the dash and thru the glass only.

    RE: Early 90

Don't know about the early 90's boats, but my 99 SNOB has the windshield about 6" back from my buddys 97 closed bow. It is a walkover. My wife wanted an open bow, so this was about as much as I was willing to compromise.

I will say that the 97-99 SNOB's seem to have a little softer wake than the closed bow. I really even prefer it over the newer boats, but I am biased.

Same deal on the 92-96 SNOBs as the TSC1. Windshield is moved back to accomodate the open bow- note that any SNOB from the 90's has the driver's seat nearly up against the motorbox. All the boats were walk over, as you guessed.

        Thanks guys.

And as I guessed, I still prefer the closed bow version b/c the windshield looks better closer to the bow.

You're going to have to sell me that 1990 SN next year, TRBenj.

The engine is moved back too on these SNOB models. The prop shaft actually exits from a different spot than the CB models. Quite a stretch from the Malibu and MC philosophies with the RLX and the 197, which are just plain cutout versions of the CB model.

To me, CC's totally over the top approach to making a SNOB is reason enough to show CC's dedication to getting something just right. They didn't consider the far more reasonable option of keeping the windshield/motor back on the CB to make the SNOB conversion a basic cutout. They would rather have a separate deck and hull mold just for the SNOBs. Totally over the top!
