Hey Guys,
I'm looking at purchasing an '01 Super Air that has been for sale for a while. I noticed that when the boat was first listed it was missing the gauge that houses the hour meter (tachometer)?, but the listing was updated and now has had a replacement gauge installed and the dealer is claiming 33 total hours. My question is, is the way an hour meter works similar to that of replacing an odometer in a car, where it will reset to zero when the new gauge is installed? Or is it possible that the boat did have 33hrs on it prior to installing the new gauge? I'm pretty sure the boat was purchased through an auction, possibly a repo, however it looks to be immaculate. The tower is in need of a powdercoat and the Super Air graphics need replacing, but otherwise it looks great, but it has to have more than 33hrs. I have a feeling I can really negotiate the price down since they've had it for so long. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'm glad to be a new PN member! -Matthew
