Can a 2006 226 be used for water sking?

    Hello,

I am new to Nautiques and am thinking of purchasing a 2006 226 and was wondering if it could be used for water skiing? Understand that we are not professionals looking for the best wake, just something that, as a family, we can use as a crossover for entertainment, wakeboarding and water skiing. I was told by the dealer that the 2006-226 had a nice skiing wake (not competition level or anything) but very compatible to that almost any other family boat of the 226's size. Your help is really appreciated!

    thanks

I have a 06 226, it is a great boat. For recreation type skiing it would be fine, also if you plan on doing other things like wakeboarding and surfing it can be a very good boat(especially with some added weight). If you plan on doing alot of slalom skiing it would not be very good. What model is it a team or a limited? Color?

Yes you can use it for water skiing. Correct Craft labels the 226 now as a Cross Over, which means, you get both - water skiing and wake boarding type recreation all in one. It's really an all around boat, which is great for non-specific boaters like you and me. The size is just right, drives great and plenty of storage space.

      I love mine.

Let me know if you have additional questions on the boat.

It is a red team edition that appears to have just about every option.

I would say do it. The only thing I regret with ours is that we didn't get a team and have to add on all the other stuff (sub, tower speakers ect.). It is a great all around boat.
