    2003 super sport limited

    hi all.

I am thinking of buying a 2003 super sport limited and would like to know if $32,000 is a fair price with a trailer, 280 hours, no tower?

the dealer said the 2003 super sport and super air are virtually the same boats minus the tower and water sacs/tanks, is this so?

Also I am thinking of buying this boat sight unseen due to it being located too far away. I am 6'3" and I'm wondering if there is enough legroom in front of the drivers seat to stretch out your legs when the seat is back as far as it can go.

thank you in advance for any responses.

All I can say without seeing it. Is Buy it. That is a great deal. Does it have a Trailer, Tanks, Prefect Pass?

I would definitely check on the legroom issue. I am not familiar with the 2003 models, but I bought a 2007 211 this summer. I was also looking at the 216, since I ski more than anything. But the legroom was so tight I couldn't live with it. By the way, I'm 6'5". I know companies don't design for 6'5", but I'm disappointed in the legroom on CC's ski boats. On the brighter side, I LOVE MY 211!

I have a '98 Super Sport and am 6'0" and feel that it has plenty of leg room for me even with the sub and heater down there.

the boat has a trailer but no tanks, and no perfect pass.

I would want to water test the boat before writing them a check for 32 grand. When I bought mine it was at a marina 6 hrs away, so I gave them a deposit over the phone, then drove out and water tested it - which was a good thing since the kid that de winterized it at the marina put the wrong battery in it and wouldn't start (because it was a POS - the battery that is) so they swapped it with a new one. Pulled the boat, signed the paper work and drove home with it.

You also want to go over it with a fine toothed comb to make sure the hull, prop, rudder, drive shaft, etc are all in good shape.

How far away is the boat from you?

Oh - and yes the boats are essentially the same, just different graphics and equipment like you mentioned. Provided the boat is in good shape that is good price. I'd also go over the trailer and make sure the bearing and brakes are in good shape, especially if your going to trailer a fair amount.

I just bougt an 03 Super Sport (112 hrs), I had the prev owner take it to a Nautique Dealership . It ended up costing me! The boat tech(aka Jerk off) told the owner that he was selling it way to cheap (28K). the reason I wanted the boat was cause it was a great deal. the previous owner let it go for 30K and it was still a good deal. I agree with a previous post, have some one on the site look at it for you before you make the trip out. I would have no problem to look at it and send you some pics if it was in my area Nor Cal
