Ordering 230 Very Soon!

Okay, I am ordering my 230 today or tomorrow. Here's what I think I am going to do with colors. I'd love to hear any feedback you have. I'm pretty set on getting a black boat again this year. This will be my third black boat, and they look really good. We just can't get away from black/red/white. For us, there just aren't any better colors.

Option 1 - Solid black with one RED custom pinstripe added by local shop.

Option 2 - Solid black with one RED and one WHITE pinstripe added by local shop.

Option 3 - Solid black with no pinstripes.

Obviously the boat in the pictures is a 210. It is the only solid black boat I could find a good side shot of. The sides of the 230 are similar. Also, the pinstripes in the pictures are just quick MS Paint edits. They're not meant to look real, just to give an approximation of what the stripes might look like.

For the interior, we're looking at white seat bases, with the main stripe being either red with black piping, or black with silver piping.

Option 1 is definitely the best of the three. The single red stripe is subtle, but that's gone once you add the white stripe.

IMO, Option 1 gives the boat that unqiue look!! Love the colors Jeff!!! One of a kind!

I've been thinking strongly about Option 1 for months now. I just came up with Option 2 this morning. I like them both.

I am placing the order tomorrow, probably. Not sure how that translates as far as receiving the boat.

Jeff, this is a wonderful problem to have- I hope to have the same problem some day. FWIW I think the plain black looks the best.

I do like the solid black, option 3.
Have you thought about option 1 in a different stripe color? Silver or metallic color similar to the piping/tower I think would look good, or maybe just plain white may look nice as well?

Yeah, actually I like all of those. The blue was one I thought about earlier. Maybe I'll create an image of that and see how it looks. Silver might look good too. My '03 SAN had a silver metallic pinstripe, and that looked great.

Option 1 looks good, but so does all black. What happened with your thoughts Jeff on getting off of the red/black theme? I believe you stated you liked some of the blue colors out there.

Yeah, I sure did. I don't know. We decided to go with the solid black hull, and the red pin stripe just looked really good. I was planning to go blue this time. I don't know. I might still try a blue pinstripe.

Try to find a picture of one in the water to draw your custom stripe on. The angle of the stripe may have to be different when it's in the water - It might look weird to see the stripe disappear under the waterline toward the stern. Just a thought.

Also I might try to line up the strip so that it's parallell with the Super Air Nautique letters.

If it were mine I'd go solid black - no stripe.
