Tank shape in a 216 Air?

I got to ride behind our friend's Air 216, and she mentioned that she thought the boat had the "small" tanks in it. I looked and the tanks are only rectangular, behind the fuel tank, but they seem taller than the tanks I had in my 99 Pro air. My tanks had "legs" that extend on each side of the gas tank, approximately to front edge of the rear seat. Does anyone know?

BTW, to add to the fuel on the Pro vs. Air wake, the 216 with the tanks full, has a much smaller wakeboarding wake than my Pro Air empty.

My Air has/Had (I took them out) tanks with the Legs you described. The tanks are flat in the trunk aera and then they go up and along the side of the gas tank. I think there was 2 tank options for the Air small tanks and larger tanks

I believe the 216 only has 1 ballast option which is (2) tanks @ +/- 200lbs each, not sure the exact shape, I also believe that was the only tank option for the Air & Pro Air Nautiques Pre 2003 as well.

The 206 ballast option is a single tank @ 200lbs, that tank follows the shape of the trunk, about half the height or depth of the trunk.

        Quinner,
does your tank empty on both sides? Does your boat have a "starboard" and "port" ballast gauges?

My boat is an 05' 206, only 3 holes/outlets which are on the starboard side, I believe they are vent, overflow and drain. Only 1 tank so there is only 1 gauge and 1 active pump switch on the dash.
