    HELP!! Boat Starting problem GT-40

Well, I put the boat in for the first time this year, got her in the water, and turned over the key, starter ran and the engine would run as long as i kept the starter on, but as soon as the starter is turned off (key released not turned off, but to where the switch would be if the engine was on) the engine would die... i dont know whats going on, Im kinda pissed at the marina though for not takeing the 10 mins to hook up the fake a lake...
Ive even tryed giveing it gas even though its an EFI engine. Nothing seems to make it run...
    things ive noted:

Fuel pump: I think this acctually might be the problem, i dont hear it turn on when ignition is turned on.

Checked the safty swich and have determined that isnt the problem.

any ideas? I really dont want too have to tow it back an hour and a half back home if i dont have too.
    How about \"Chales\"?

It's either not getting gas or no spark. Seems like I remember having the same issue a few years ago and that there is a breaker on the back of the engine that was kicked. Just push the button to reset. I would try that first and if that doesn't work sounds like a tow to the shop. Hope the first option works.

Glad to hear that you found the source of the problem. Hopefully you will be replacing the faulty part and not just running it "hot-wired". Have a great day on the water.
