    Battery Brain

Has anyone ever used this on their boat and if so did it effectively allow you to run stereo components up to the point where the battery had just enough charge before shutting down your party?

Never seen this before, but I guess it's a pretty good idea if you're running a single battery. I wouldn't recommend this if you're running multiple batteries.

      RE: Battery Brain

These products have been around for years, however, not many people own them. If that tells you anything. The only personal experience I have with them is that Ford has claimed to have a "Battery Saver" on their vehicles for several years now. I found that it only works if you have the ignition off and the keys in hand. If you leave your radio on with the key in the accessory position until the battery dies, you will not be able to start the vehicle. I don't think these products are one in the same but the moral is still the same. Pay attention to how long you leave your radio on and don't let your battery drain without running your boat.

I just keep a jump pack on the boat. A better solution because it will have more than one start in it. Also can be easily passed to another boat if they need a jump.

Thanks for your insight. I think I will stick with my original plan to add a second battery.
