Rust on Stainless Steel Nautique emblems?

Went and uncovered my 07' 210 this weekend and reallized all the stainless steel compoents on the outside of the boat (steps, transom light, emblem over rear side fresh air intakes) have rust on them. Dont think this is normal considering there was no rust when I put it up for the winter. Any one else with these problems?

    Contamination.

You can have a iron particle contamination.

    For example,
when using an iron spunge when polishing,
or when using polishing tool before used on iron,
you drive in micron small iron particles.

Every year I get some SS propellers totaly ruined. Grinded with a home tool which also did the garden fence. Those treaded SS propellers are totaly rusted, you have never seen such a thing.

It can also ruin your cars paint when yo are grinding the fence at 30 feet away from your car. Iron dust damages your paint permanent when moistured in a few days.
