    Correct Craft service??

We bought a 2006 SAN 210 in december 2006. Put it in winterstorage and drove it first in April 2007.. Great boat, some small things that I myself could work out, but the boat ran flawless (and still does).
In may 2007 the radio started to turn on/off and "blobs" over the speakers. Eventually I traced it back to the Clarion APX480 amp. Put a car amplifier in it for the meanwhile and contacted the dealer (in Europe, where we bought the boat). They said they would handle it and send me a new amp. In oktober 2007 still no new amp (I called and emailed aprox once a month with the dealer; they said they filed a warranty claim and were/are dependable from CC service department). So I contacted CC directly (service at CC.com or something like that). Got a response in 24 hours! Explained the whole situation and they said they would come back to me with a solution. Now after 4 months of waiting and aprox 10-15 emails later I still don't have an amplifier.

I bought a Clarion APX480 from a PlanetNautique member for $180,- incl shipment. I'm selling this boat, so everything should work in my opinion... But I still have a broken Clarion at home.... Is this why CC earned 5 JD awards?? Anybody have an idea how to work this out? Don't get me wrong, I really like Correct Craft.

    Thanks

the service that European dealers get is completely different to what American dealers recieve but still your dealer should have replaced your amp out of his own stock and then got a replacement one from cc . All the European dealers have to go through a single European rep and ive been told this is were the problem is

      Laptom,

I really hate that your experence hasnt been a positive event for you in reguards to Correct Craft and its service. I hope you get it all worked out. It's Boat show time here in Texas, and I had the pleasure of visiting, at lengths, with Correct Craft Factory warranty rep., Dave Hendricks. I had met Dave last year at the show, but still he remembered me. This is a guy that will bend over backwards to make sure the customer is happy. Im sure things are done differently across the pond, but if you had the same issues stateside, I think it would have been taken care of long ago. Its been my luck to meet several folks from the factory, and to a person, they all put customer service as job one.
We are on our 3rd Nautique about to order the 4th, and although I have an excellent dealership in Buxton Marine here in Dallas, its good to know the company itself puts a high value in the people it hires.
B4 you ask.....No, im not paid to say this stuff. I dont work for CC, I just dont mind spending my money with such a good company. Just my two cents. ( now, off my soapbox)

        Hi Deester,

Thanks for the input. I already had some contact with Dave Hendricks. He's very responsive with his email and willing to help me, but one way or the other, there is no progress... I don't know why, but it feels to me that CC has a very strickt warranty approach..
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to bash CC. We ordered yesterday our 8th Nautique. The 2006 is sold, but their are 2 things to be fixed (both warranty) before the buyer wants to pick it up.... I cannot blame them, but I don't want the 2006 in my garage until 2009!

i have always had good service from the cc factory. when i needed a new wiring loom they had the part here (AU) in approx 1 week (although they did send the wrong one so i had to wait another week and the engine couldn't work with out it). maybe you are like AU with no local parts. good local parts do exist for pcm tho, thru a distributor

one thing i would like to know is what cc think of non dealer maintainance. i do all of that myself, an would love to get some gel cracks fixed but seriously there is nobody to take it to, even thru the dealer who is 150 km away. when it has needed insurance work done the malibu dealer has happily taken care of it.

your dealer should refund the cost of your replacement item, why would you want a new one?

I think we can lock this topic! I've got a brand new amplifier from CC directly.
Dave Hendricks wasn't responsible for this, but he directed me to the right persons and made sure everything worked out like it should be.

Now I can install the new amplifier in the boat and take the second hand one out. One more thing to fix on the 2006 and the new owners can pick it up in March. And our "new" 2007 236/230 will also be shipped in March!!! Will post some pics soon!

Dave, once again; thanks for your help!
