    SV 211

Asking any owners of this crossover model what they think about the boat and what has been their experience? I can see many advantages to this setup but was needing some real world feedback?

If there is a better all-around boat I would like to have it. The slalom wake is not good until about 30 mph or better, but it is a crossover. Surf and wakeboard wakes will be more than enough for the average person. You can add more weight if you need it. I could not be happier. If slalom is not in your plans, a 210 is normally a little cheaper. Get the ZR-6 engine.

I have 17.5 hours on my 07 SV 211. So far I really like it. I had a 98 Malibu Sunsetter direct drive and the handling is very similar. The direct drive had a little better slalom wake but the 211 is much easier to surf behind. The storage is great. I also really like the walk through to the platform. Some people think it looks funny but I wouldn't have a v-drive that didn't have a hard surface walk through.

I came out of a Gekko direct Drive. LOVE the engine in the rear. I've been told the ski wake is comparable to a '93 SN (friend's dad has one). I don't wakeboard (yet) so I have no opinion and have no tanks. I love the storage. My only complaint right now is the hole shot, but I'm planning to change props this spring. I have the base model with 275 hp, so I don't know what the TE feels like. Gas mileage is great and I can truly fit nine in it (the gekko claimed eight but was tight with six). If you want to specialize in one area (wake or ski) you can find better but if you want both, this is great.

I am still quite happy with my sv211, it's a 2005 with almost 300 hours. If I were starting over again I would also give the Malibu VTX a test drive.

I have a friend that is between boats at the moment. They want a family ski boat and he's had a boat for on 20 years and knows a ton more about them than I. He's leaning toward the Malibu VTX with the diamond cut hull, but we are waiting for Spring to test drive (I may get to ride along). I'm just worried about the quality stories on Malibu. That's the main reason I went CC (and Whitelake being a super dealer to work with) PDT_003

Love my 211, wouldn't trade for another type boat. I had a 2004 LE and traded it for a 2005 Team. We do everything on it Slalom, Wakeboard, Kneeboard, Wakeskate, Surf, and Sky Ski. Absolutly love it.

In this area who would you but it from? The only place I would consider buying a Malibu from is Boat Country in the Valley. I had a Malibu, I loved the boat but hated the company and the local dealers.

We have almost 60 hours on our '07 211 and love it. We have 3 boys that wakeboard, my wife and friends wake and ski and they all rave about it. Besides the reputation, I was sold on the space, the power, and the fun factor. If you're looking for a great all around boat, look no further.

Got an 07. While I only have about 15 hrs on it (bought in October), I came under its spell within the first 30 minutes behind the wheel and behind the boat. The build quality is amazing, and it's such a pleasure to drive and ride around it. Please bare in mind that it's my first Nautique.

Now for the important stuff - the wake. I wakeboard and ski. The wakeboard wake is great - not too steep, not too rampy. You can really fine-tune your wake by adding weight, moving people around and adjusting the hydro gate. Most riders who tried it said they loved it. Surf wake is OK, but I'm not a fan of that.

The ski wake is a big workout for my taste. I ski the course at 30 MPH and 15 off and it is quite a challenge. At 32 and 34 MPH it's much better better. I also tried 22 off and let me tell you it's brutal. I want to get more serious about skiing next summer and I'm afraid that at some point I'm going to have to start thinking about another boat - perhaps even buying a second hand 196.

                    Good luck!
