Tower Question

What is the deal with the Titan tower on the 230 and the CC Tower on the 236. IMO, the "swoop" Titan tower really detracts from the classic CC look.

Also, does anyone know if the 230 can be specified with the CC "classic" Tower that comes on the 236?

Titans don't cause hairline cracks in decks, they are super easy to lower, they don't flex much... Good towers, some don't like the look. If the Titan was available when I bought my 2005 that is what it would have today.

The Titan tower is an option. The 236 and the 230 Team Editions are standard with the classic Flight Control tower...

As Laptom said, the new Titan FCT is an option, so the standard tower is still the classic FCT.

More options means more customization so everybody can get their boat exactly as they want it. The advantage of our tower is increased rigidity and simple folding for storage. It's not for everybody, but everyone i've talked to loves the tower after they spend a little time with it.

The Titan tower is one I am definetly going to be checking into for my 07 220 TE. The weight of the CC FCT is just obnoxiously heavy to fold and put back up, if I was 6'6" and muscle bound it would not be a problem. I dont think CC put much thought into that tower when it comes to people who have to lower it for bridges or for getting into garages. The Titan seems to have a better grasp on the ease of function.

Is the Titan tower lower than the standard CC tower? If you look at the boat builder on the website and compare the two, it looks quite a bit lower than the CC one. Just wondering. And I am referring to the tower when raised, i.e. where the rope would be.

I really like the Titan tower as well. Great look and function in my opinion. I think having a choice is a good thing.

I love the titan tower. I wish they were an option for the 216

I am picking up my 08 210 with the titan tower on Friday. It is one of the main resons I traded my 07 in. I think it looks bad a_s and is definetly much easier to lower which is a huge plus for me since I put my boat in my garage after every use. The standard FCT on the newer nautiques is almost impossible to lower by yourself unless you want to take the chance of smashing up the front deck of your boat. I love the Titan tower and love the choice that CC is offering this year with it.

Man the titan tower is the best thing to hit correct craft since integrated ballast. But to each their own, just to confirm prior posts, if u want a 230 with a flight control tower you can totally make that happen just talk to your local dealer. I work for a dealer in Nashville, so if I can do anything to help, let me know and I will gladly get in contact with a dealer in your area.

What is the difference in the hight of the towers because in our last boat the tower was a little low and we had wetsounds which are larger then the illusion speakers so we ran into the problem of people bumping their heads on them. Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

My mate has the FCT on his 08 210 and the Titan tower is definately a little lower....by how much I don't know? Both towers look great, but i personally prefer the look of the Titan and the ease of lowering and raising it!
