196 in a 20 Foot Garage with platform???

I have a '95 Ski Nautique closed bow (i.e. a 196) on a Ramlin single axle with a tip up tongue (tip up - not the new swing away). Due to a move I am trying to find a good size garage and found a house with two separate 2 car garages, but they are only 20 feet deep. I don't have full measurements from the realtor yet. Taking the platform off everytime I use the boat is a pain so I hope to avoid it.

Does anyone know if a SN can fit at an agle with the platform in a 20 foot garage?

I store the boat in one bay of my 2 car, 22.5 foot deep garage with the platform on and the trailer tongue up and have a few inches of clearence on both ends. The truck fits nicely next to it. I wish they built garages like they used to.

at least you have the easy release clips for the platform, I do it every time and it sure beats taking up 2 spots because I dont want to play with it. Although I am not one to bitch because I am puting in a wider door so I can have my boat in the 3rd stall. Or else one of these days, I am gonna hit my car backing the boat in. I only have 3 inches on the side for the car.

Yes, it should fit if it's at an angle. I have my 98 SN in a 20' garage at an angle and on a Dorsey trailer with no folding tongue. With the platform on, you can get it in at an angle with a few inches to spare, but you will not be able to get another vehicle in there.

When you get it in there, take some tape and mark where the tires are. Extend the outer line on the port side tire marking out at the angle the boat will sit when parked. It makes it much easier to back it in the same way each time and not have to mess with it much once it's in the garage.

Thanks for the reply. It seems every three car garage is only 20 feet deep on the double bay and the single bay may be deep, but only 7.5 feet wide. We did find one with a wide single bay, but the door is only 8 feet wide. Perfect for crew boats though.
