RE: Titan tower bimini over the top

I know http://www.towerbiminis.com/ carries them. I ordered mine as under the tower. I think these are of a 210 but it gives you an idea.

Definitely gives you a lot of head room, but it seems like it's not big enough to really provide the shade you would expect of a lower bimini.

Well after talking to the guy at tower biminis he told me that the under would not work. Due to the fact that the front legs of the tower come into the middle so much it would end up about 3 1/2" wide and 5' long. So I decided to go over the tower but extend it off the front by 6" and in the back by 8". We have little kids and want as much coverage as possible.

Here's a pic of the CC factory over the top bimini made by Ameritex on my 210. I'm really happy with the way it fits and looks!

Bevan - I really like the looks of that bimini. Over the top appears to be the only option for that tower if you are to have decent coverage.

Do you have any more photos of it from the rear, front etc. Any photos that show how it folds back into the tower?

These are the only pics i have, hope they help? It folds back against the front of the tower and is fixed to it by straps sewn into the bimini sock. It is fixed to domes along the rear of the tower. The head room and covearage is awesome!

Be careful how far back the bimini extends. I had a friend that his was extended back so much that it made it difficult to get the rope attached. You had to stand on the engine cover (216) to reach over the bimini. And I am 6'6"....so others were really having problems. Just something to think about.

                          Texoma,

Do you have a pic as to how your bimini turned out?

                            Bevan,

Do you have any more pics of the bimini, perhaps showing how it folds away when the tower is down? Any problem with clearing the speaker brackets? Do you happen to know what the cost was of that bimini? I do like it more than the TB over the tower bimini, just wondering what the cost delta is.

                            Chad

Sorry no more pics, but it folds back the same way as the bimini pictured on this standard FCT. The bimini on my boat does not extend past the rear of the tower so there is no problem with the tow rope getting caught up in any way! Not sure of the cost as it was supplied with the overall boat package.
