    Acme 1464 or 644??

I've read all the reviews I can find between the 644 and 1464, and I'm still undecided. I dinged the prop up the last time it was in the water last fall, and its time to get it ready for spring so its time or order a new prop. We usually run the stock rears with and extra 200 lbs on top each side, 150 lbs of lead in the nose, and about 250 in the center locker. Our crew is usually 3-5 people. The boat is used for riding mainly and is used on a small lake so their is never long driving to find calm water. When we do cruise its usually idling or 25 mph or less. The boat is rarely to never ran wide open. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks Billy.

    RE: Acme 1464 or 644??

Not sure what boat you have, but you might want to look into the Acme 1234 (or 1235 for right hand rotation) also.

I have the ZR6 and the Acme 1234 and it seems to be a good match to the boat size and what we do on the water.

Have you seen Luke's write up review on the 644 ? Go here.

      Zigs -

I am running the 1465 in my 06 210 and am very happy with it. I run stock ballast plus an additional 100lbs in the nose and usually 3-5 people in the boat. I think this prop is great for boats that are not heavily sacked out. It planes much faster and only runs about 300 rpms higher at wakeboarding speed than the stock prop that came on my SE. I wakeboard at 21.5 per the PP and the rpms are about 3100. I may have lost 2-3 mph at WOT but I never run that so it doesn't matter to me. I haven't noticed any change in fuel consumption either. I usually get 8-10 hour off a full tank.

I have a 1999 sport nautique with Gt40 and purcahsed the 644. I love it...we usually run a full boat and there is zero hesitation. My old OJ prop (4 blade) had a slight hesitation at take off. I did lose about 1-2 mph on top end. Only downfall to me is that being brass (the metal is softer) and I worry about riding in the Delta with it....

Thanks for the replies so far. I forgot to add in the original post that the boat is a 2001 Super Air with the GT-40 motor.
