If I remember correctly the pro ballast adds and additional 600 pounds in the 210 (300 each side). This weekend I was finally able to get my 2015 out for a surf session with more people in the boat. 6 adults and a few small kids. The extra weight with some of that weight in the bow really made a difference. Really good wave. Unfortunately out of the group I was the only boat driver so I didn't get to enjoy. I guess I'm going to be plumbing some more ballast specifically into the bow.

Thanks for the info. I have V drive sacs in each rear lockers, so 400 pounds, and a tube sac in the ski locker that is 370 pounds I think. I can tell you that I have been real happy with this set up and more people weight just seems to make it that much better.

As I've experimented a bit... bow weight in the 2014 / 2015 might not be needed. The 2013's and earlier is a must.

The other thing that I've found much different in the 2014 is that in the earlier models I'd push the Hydrogate towards "ramp" to clean up the wave, but now it tends to mess it up more. NSS and speed adjustments have been the key factors in dialing in the wave so far. It's a cold cold week here in MN, so I won't get a chance to test until maybe Thursday. I'll add extra weight to the Starboard locker (remove existing "additional" 400lb and replace with the 750lb sac). Not piggybacking any bow weight just yet.

What did you finally end up deciding on the setup. What you guys are finding seems to translate well to the 230 also.h

I installed a 750 now in both rear lockers in addition to the hard tanks. Full on both plus full belly, people weight on surf side and the wave is ridiculous! Tall, long and well defined lip.

NSS at 4, hydrogate at vert, speed around 10.5-10.7

Without people in the boat, take a bit out of non surf side ballast until wave cleans up. Doesn't take much.

I filled pro ballast full, put another 200lbs on top of port locker sack. NSS at 4, Speed at 11mph, and about 1000lbs of people weight or sacks on the port side and the wave is pretty awesome. F725 has the right setup for sure.

What did you decide on the additional bow ballast?

I did the 400 in the center locker and added 400's over the hard tanks in my 13. The NSS just makes the wave so clean! Goofy side is perfect but my regular side is sloppy, although most of our group rides goofy anyway my daughter rides regular so I need to clean it up.

best advise using the NSS is keeping the boat level to really drive the plates in.

I'm a little surprised to hear you guys went from the G to being more than happy on the 210. I was afraid of !. the huge cost and 2 the huge boat. Rolling with 8k lbs lifts so that is the only problem I don't have with a G but the 210 does so much so good.

So far... Rear 750's on top of hard tanks full. Belly full. NSS 4, speed 10.5, hydrogate vert. Add people on surf side or drain from opposite rear until wave cleans up. I found that an extra 100 lbs in the bow really does the trick. I could keep both rear full and have a clean powerful wave at all NSS settings. Instead of adding a bow sac I am going to purchase lead sacks for the bow. Much more than 100 lbs in the bow and the wave loses some height.

We pulled the MN Spring Ride wakesurf comp with our 210. Everyone loved the wave.

Hey F725 - my '15 arrives this week and I'm guessing I'll be running a very similar setup to you. Do you know offhand which prop you are running?

Sorry brhodea, I have no idea. I bought it used through the dealership prior to which it came right from Nautique. I'm guessing stock. I do have the 450 hp motor...

I run stock prop and it has been fine for surfing with same setup as F725. I would like to upgrade though as wakeboarding with full stock ballast takes waaay longer than I like to get on plane.
