    POP-Products vs. Lead Wake Bags?

Anyone have thoughts on pros/cons of these bags...trying to make decision on which to move on but not sure since I can't see them in person.

I am debating between them myself. My main hangup is I can't find the dimensions of the pop products. Before folks say "make your own out of XYZ" I realize that could be done. Just don't have the time.

I agree....I'll pay for a "finished" product instead of just throwing something together.

Seems like LeadWake is more "finished" then POP...looks like POP may be just a a vinyl bag where LeadWake is canvas/fabric....BUT LeadWake is more expensive plus shipping....just uncertain if there are any other differences that I am missing.

pop products use steel pellets instead of lead, thats really the only difference.
i have been using pop bags for years without issue. personally, i would save the cash and get pop bags.

I'll get you guys some detailed pics of my pop bags. As mentioned pop uses steel pellets. I have had mine since 2004. Show no wear at all. Their cover is a breeze breeze to clean. It's more of w vinyl type. It then has another completely sealed bag of steel pellets inside the vinyl cover. Makes it a cinch to remove and clean the cover if need be. Honestly tho I just give them an occasional wipe with my boat candy vinyl cleaner and they über stayed looking brand new for over 10 years.

Not to contradict but from LeadWake site "the bags contain 100% recycled stainless steal shot"so it seems as though naming the company "Lead" is a bit of a misnomer....tried calling the POP wake company to order an extra few bags and the number just goes to a recording that the "person is unavailable"...bummer cause I was about to pull the trigger and order the bags.

The Lead Wake bags are much better than the pop bags and I have a bunch of the pop bags. The lead wake bags are more compact and weigh 10lbs more per bag. They have a nice handle on them to throw around and stack much better. Get the LW bags.

The Lead wake bags used to be filled with lead, "back in the day". They aren't any more. You also used to have to sign a form waiving any responsibility for lead poisoning. Now, they use steel. Their bags look well built and a lot of people prefer them because of the bag quality. I'll be ordering some soon.

For my application I would be throwing them in one are to leave peramnently so I don't need a fancier bag. Would the POP be ok for this?

This is true. I emailed the guy from LW to ask because I really didn't want to mess with lead.

This place has free shipping and looks like the same style as LW.
