    Here is a summary

    Pop Bags - 9 x 13 x 2.5 - 40lb - Vinyl bag filled with steel

Cost per bag not listed, only bulk quantities listed.

    400lbs - $375 delivered - $0.9375 per lb
    800lbs - $700 delivered - $0.875 per lb

Lead Wake - 9 x 11 x 2 - 50lb - Steel but not sure of bag material. It looks like cordura from pics. Bag can be customized for a cost

Cost is $55 plus $13.50 in shipping

    400lbs - $548 delivered - $1.37 per lb
    800lbs - $1,096 delivered - $1.37 per lb

Wake Ballast - 50lb - No dimension listed - Cordura bag filled with steel. 3 year warranty

Cost is $55 per bag, free shipping

    400lbs - $440 delivered - $1.10 per lb
    800lbs - $880 delivered - $1.10 per lb

For me I am leaning toward Pop. Not just because of cost but also I plan to put my bags in and leave them since my boat is on a lift and I don't trailer. I suspect vinyl would dry better left in the boat. If you plan on taking them in and out the Cordura bags are probably a better option.

I leave my Pop bags in the nose all the time and would rather have the LW or WB bags. The LW/WB look to be identical, I am assuming WB copied LW since I have only heard of LW. The pop bags dont really take shape to where you put them because of the vinyl material. The LW bags really form to the area, taking up less space and they are 10lb heavier. Its not a big deal but if the LW/WB bags were around back in the day, I would have gone that route.

Since someone posted the dimensions I won't add those photos. WB basically copied and ripped off the LW bags. There was a little riff there if I remember correctly. I have NO firsthand experience owning the LW bags so take my info based on that.

As Seth mention you can't really mold the pop bags. They do take the shape of uneven areas and bend and mold to ask rad places but overall the size is the size.

As you can see from the pics the steel shot bag is removeable. Not super heavy duty so I don't recommend running them without the protective vinyl case. The vinyl case has positives and negatives vs the canvas one.

Cons of the vinyl from pop
        - if you place them on the carpet inside the cabin or under storage areas with lots of space they will slide around a bit
-harder to mold and fold over in tight spots
-little awkward to move around constantly I think the LW bags with their handle placement would be easier to pick up and move around.

        Pros
-so easy to keep clean simple wipe with solution
-water doesn't saturate like it would the canvas material, it's way more waterproof than the canvas, I feel is better for people who plan on leaving them in places for long periods of time because the mold, mildew and water retention is nil on the vinyl compared to what it would be on the canvas material.

I will also add this. My daily outer vest carrier at work is heavy duty cordura. My go bag is 1000denier Nylon. I go through a vest every 18 months or so and a backpack every 2 yrs because they wear out. So I can only imagine tossing around those bags made of that material exposed to sunlight and heat would not withstand the test of time. That's purely speculation but my pop bags are 12yrs old and I don't have as much as one stitch fraying or pulling.

I’m thinking about ordering some Pop bags. Are you happy with yours?

I think you will find the WB and LW are more versatile bags than the Pop bags. When you factor in the 10% discount code and the discount for buy 10 bags at a time from either WB and LW with free shipping , neither one is that much more expensive then the Pop bags. Anyway my 2 cents.

I have a bunch of LW bags, and they are an awesome company. I would not hesitate to buy from them.

However..... My one thing I don't like about them is that if they get wet they can leave rust stains on your Seadek (everyone uses steel shot now). I have solved this by getting some 14x14 6 mil ziplock bags from the big A online retailer and sleeving each LW bag. The downside to this is that they slide around a lot easier.

Ronix has a new bag out, 25 pound and 50 pound, that was supposedly designed to prevent rust leaks (triple vacuumed bagged inside with canvas outer). I will have a few in a couple months to try out.

A few months back I purchased 500 pounds from leadwake. Jared Cutler was amazing to deal with and the product far exceeded my expectations! The fit and finish of leadwake is second to none and I feel confident they will last for many years to come. Buy with confidence!

I like your Ziploc idea because yes wet bags can cause SeaDek stains . My question is whether the 6 mill Ziplocs hold up ok or do you find you are constantly replacing them each time you try to move or reconfigure the bags around your boat ?

14yrs of pop bags , no rust , no stains , and the bags show zero wear . Look like the day I got them. They’ve seen some wet conditions slammed up in the bow.

                              Highly recommend their product.

I have not had to replace one. I did end up getting a small basket for each side of the rears that they sit in, so they don't move around and are more contained.
