I think everyone checking this thread is curious to find out what's causing the lack of wave and rooster. It may be the prop after all. I've only ever ran the stock props on our 210's.

Exactly ! We’re all curious too see.
and me too only ride the oem prop. Maybe last owner change it or hitted something and the prop is damaged.. it don’t take much just a little pinky can mess up the wave since you ride really slow.
i would check with a mask to be sure

I ride with a 1617 prop but I need it to wakeboard. Recently nicked up my prop(again!) and switched to stock while mine was in for repair. I didn’t see much difference in the surf wake while running a stock prop. However I’m not a big surfer and probably not the best judge. It did take for ever to plain off while wakeboarding. Always fun trying to stand in the bow as you drive the boat

Yee-haaa!!!
Finally I've got some progress!
Error #1 - ballast. After previous tests I've stopped my iterations with empty starboard piggyback bag as the setting for cleanest wave. I've memorized it like it means empty starboard ballast, so every time after I filled only port side full and got some solid port bank.
Now I'm filling both stern sides to ~1/3, stop star pump and fill port full. Then I start to ride and drain star until the wave cleans up. My backplate now looks parallel to the water despite starboard piggyback bag is almost empty.
Error #2 - speed. I got average quality wave with some push and no rooster on ~10 mph with just one side+belly+bow extras loaded.
Now I'm setting ~10.6 and it gaves me firmer wave. Big bit of experience here is that on my boat with the same given setup rooster comes on ~10mph and on ~11.2mph, but becomes lower in between those speeds.
Error #3 - NSS. I was riding GS22, G21, 230 waves in clubs and get used to NSS=3 to NSS=5 just makes wave shorter and bigger. With no impact on wave cleanup.
Here on my 210 NSS=5 makes a lot dirtier wave!
I stopped setting it to 5, now using 3 or 4. I'm pretty sure clubs did all the homeworks and managed their waves to the next level. I'm just making my first steps...
More issues to solve:
1. Yesterday I've noticed that my belly ballast (should be 350lbs) filled longer than port (300+815lbs), is it okay? Maybe I was underfilling my belly before?
2. My wave now is way better! Long enough and clean enough, but needs further tweaking. The "wall" section is far from the boat, also this section is short, quickly closes into "pocket". The first "flat" section is on the contrary too long. Do you know how to stretch/compress these zones?
PS my sacrificed GoPro dried up, can charge, but the display is dead. So no pics for now, hope to solve the issue.Last edited by skullx; 07-24-2018, 07:18 AM.

I really don’t think you need to have the boat so off balanced. Belly and bow weight is very important. Belly tank should be full and 100-300lbs in the bow. You should be able to fill the v drive sacs almost even, maybe a little less on the opposite side. I find I like the wake at 10.8mpg and NSS at 2. That is as a goofy rider. Wake should be great when dialed in.

so we just fill all oem ballast and NSS at 0. Speed 10.4.
Not a perfect wave but it’s big, it’s long enough and fair enough to skim an hour with the gf and kid.
At O the wave is mellow but the shape of the wave and the lip is clear.

I was out just 2 days ago... Rear w/ piggy backed 750's both full, Belly Full, Speed at 10.6 NSS at 3 and Hydrogate at 5. My wife, daughter and son sitting in the main seating area with no one in the bow. Wife and daughter sitting on the Port side while my son drove. Wave was just as good as any other day with no extra bow weight. Like I said before, all my other 210's have needed extra bow weight but this 2018 does not unless I have too many people towards the back of the boat. I don't know if they made a change to the hull in 2018 that requires less bow weight?
The only wave that I've ridden regularly that's any better than our 210 is a G21. I ride behind enough other boats regularly to compare and ours is tough to beat.

NSS is simple and works well, not to low not too much just perfect.

Here are pics of the Starboard and Port wave from our 2018 210. Full Belly, full rear plus 750's near full each side even. Speed 10.6 NSS at 3 and Hydrogate at 5. 2 adults in the boat (1 driver and 1 passenger). I've gotten to the point on our 2018 that I rarely add extra weight in the bow. If I have a passenger up there I'll take some weight out of the belly as it seems to give even more height to the wave and increase push.
