Gents, anyone have experience in just adding bags to the trunks that overflow/piggy to the existing OEM tanks?
it would be as simple as:
1. re-route (and add a 3-4ft extension) the existing overflow to run to the back of the trunk as a fill for a 750lb sac. It would fill from the very back against the transom.
2. plumb a 2-3ft overflow to then run out the existing OEM through hull.
^^ these fittings and connections are very simple and easy to get to.
I know filling would have no problems. It pees very strong when the OEM bag is full. I would just hit fill again and force another fill cycle.
would it be able to drain properly? On the starboard side... the overflow hose runs up high almost to the tower base then comes back down to the through hull to flow out of the boat. When draining... it’d need to suck that additional piggy 750lb up and over that higher run, down through the OEM bag, and then to the pump to drain.
anyone have any piggy ballast experience in the newer Gs?
