"Where exactly do you mount the wake shaper ? I’ve got an 04 210. I’ve been putting it right in front of the transition of the Hull."

I saved this picture as an option.
I place my suction just below the pin stripes and toward the bow about 8 inches compared to pic. 10.8 mph, 12-15 ft deep
Have been running factory ballast 100p-100b-80s , just ordered 720's to upgrade rear lockers.

We learned to put our shaper as far aft as possible on our 2006 210. I also cant it up, so it's parallel to the surface of the water while the boat is surfing. Because the bow rides up, I think you still want the shaper to be in the water stream parallel to the surface. So for us, the front suction cup is as low as it will go and the rear one is up about 3-4 inches from the bottom of the boat.

Great tips. I've since upgraded to a Swell wakesurf creator H3X plus. It allows you to mount parallel and cant the shaper blade independently. It also extends in and out for a larger surface area (although full out is not the best). As for bow rise, I put a v shaped sac on the bow seats if we don't have the passengers. It's been a lot of testing, but this all gives us our best wave.

I been trying to get a good surf wave off my 2000 210. Does anyone have pics of the mission wake shaper on their 210 boat?

The Missioin is what I started with. If you go back a couple posts, that's pretty much where I put the Mission on our 2003. While underway, you want to have the wakeshaper just under the surface of the water. Weight is crucial we run 2 bags in the lockers as full as they will go (they are 750's) and I have a Fatsac bow sac (425) I lay on the front seats if I don't have passengers. One more thing if the Mission is like mine was, reverse the blade so the suction cups are ahead of the blade. The blade would be as far back a possible.

This has been a very helpful post in doing research!
I go a deal on a 2002 210 SAN earlier this year and upgraded to 750# rear bags, added a 350# in the ski locker, and 300# of lead in bow. Also have a home made suckgate. I had a few issues with water leaks on fittings and the OG pumps going bad, but I think I have it all dialed now (at least from the land test last weekend). Plan to take her for a test ride tomorrow before putting on the hoist for the summer.

                Question for the crew:
Has anyone tried to install two surf gates (one about 4-5 feet in front of the other)?
Also how does a loaded 210 wake compare to one of the newer boats? I've been spoiled on X23, Gs, SAN23s, LSV, and M220, and worried I'll be a bit disappointed.

Yeah, this is what we did as well. We recently pulled the whole thing to clean and do some engine work. the cutting boards had bowed quite a bit. It was the remnants from an HDPE board I had used to make a sucgate.

For surf wave. We added the 750s in the back. Typically the surf side is fully full. other side like 75%. Added 2x #560s in the walkway. Then we typically have like 3-5 people. We put most of them on the wave side. Then ride somewhere between 10mph and 11.

For us the goofy wave is unreal with almost no effort, and the regular wave, that everyone rides, takes everything we got to get it dialed. My niece is our only goofy rider, shes loving life.

We have a 2004 210 sante. My brother has a 2016 malibu 24lsv or something like that. Our goofy wave is pretty good, but I simply can't possibly make my boat as big and heavy as his. Add in the wedge, its just so easy to get a great wave and tune it. Takes 15 minutes.
We still surf behind mine more, just cause its the boat we have. Still fun, just not as convenient

Going to fill 2x 500lb rear bags, a locker bag and stick on the H3X surf gate this afternoon. SV211. That surf gate is pretty bad-*** at pushing the stern into a turn, which the helm has to correct for, to keep driving straight. Puts the wake profile into the attitude of a shallow turn, cleaning up that inside curl.

I used to do that manually with the Ski 200 when we had 4-5 ppl on one side and were on the cusp of being able to surf at all.

Took the 210 for the first time and a bit dissapointed...setup:
Center ballast had a leaking fitting so I didn't fill up.
                        300# lead in bow
0# in center (issue with ballast pump)
                        750# in each corner
home made suckgate in furthest rear spot.
                        @10.7 mph

Wake regular footed was the only wave we tried that day, wave was definitely smaller and shorter than I was hoping for...I had no problem riding ropeless, but was hoping for a bit more.

I ordered a new replacement pump for the center ballast, and ordered a Swell H3X plus. (Was debating between the new Swell and Nauticurl, hopefully I made the right call)
I'll report back when I give it another go.

Our son Logan surfing his 8' W.Ritchie board.
SV211 with H3X gate, 4 ballast bags, full tank fuel, and 180lb kid from next door hootin',

I tired the Ronix wakesurf board, felt like I was riding a disc like we did when all we had was my buddy's 9.9hp alum. I guess that is why ppl do 360's.
The real surfboard was able to munch through the other boat wakes, waves, wind etc. It was pretty good. Something shorter is probably better tho.
Will give the Ronix board a try again, we also have a little short thing.

We got to surf yesterday and had a decent wave.
750# in each rear corner, 350# in ski locker, 300# lead in bow, 400# ballast on bow cushions 100# of lead to move around. (only three adults, so two in boat while surfing)
We used two surf shapers, the Swell H3X plus in the rear corner, and used a home made gate align with the tower.
                            Surfing at 10.3 / 10.5

Wave was nothing like the new boats, but it was fun enough for everyone to enjoy. Everyone was able to surf ropeless no problem. The two gates produces a much longer wave, but would love to figure out how to make the wave peaker at the sweet spot. I guess we will keep tweaking more to see if we can improve.

Finally upgraded ballast on my 05 210. 750s in the back and 425 under bow cushions. Liquid force wakesurf edge pro, playing with placement. Further forward makes it longer further back makes it steeper. 2 kids and woman in boat with my big *** surfing. 250 pounds of lead scattered. 50 under starboard bow as far back as it will go, 50 in each cut out to support drain pumps in the back, and two by driver seat that I move where needed to even out while wakeboarding. Battery and stereo **** under observers seat. Love this little boat

Keef210 Looks like you got a hair cut from the post back in 2022 .

Curious how the regular footed surf wave is on your boat. I'm still struggling to get our acceptable.
We finally had our first group of goofy footed surfers this weekend and let me tell you I was PISSED! The Goofy footed surf wave is at least 10 X better than the regular side.
