2018 GS20 pro ballast add on

I’ve been trying to search, but not getting much luck. So any input would be appreciated.


We are moving to a lake that has a 20’ limit and found a great deal on a 2018 GS20. We are coming from a slammed axis A22 so I feel we need more weight. The GS does not have pro ballast so I will be adding it. How difficult is it to add? Are the wakemakers 650’s the biggest we can get? I know lead is always an option but we still will tow the boat 4 hours a couple times a year to a big lake, not a fan of extra weight.

I had the dealer install twin 400's in the aft lockers of our 2019 GS20. Had to trick the computer by selecting GS22 to enable filling the bags. With a boat full of people, it's tail heavy and won't accelerate adequately. A couple people sit in the bow to improve the situation.
