    Surf speed?

14 g23, max ballast, 200xtra starboard, 700xtra port. So I’ve surfed at 12.0 basically every time I ride for the last 5 yrs using wake settings 5/4 in choppy water and 4/3 in smoother water. I’ve been Thinking about bumping the speed up to 12.4 and leaving the 5/4 settings. I’ve been trying advance my airs, I just got a ronix 4-10 battail thruster And at 6-3 250 I feel it’s the right board for me to start getting legit airs.
so does anyone ride that fast, or what’s your thoughts or setups that’s worked at that speed?

I use to ride that fast but then realized there is no need to. Where is your extra weight located? Try slowing it down to 11.5 and try 1/1 for settings. On my boat I use 650 point bags in each locker, 450 pounds of lead in the nose the fill up the surf side stock ballast to 100% which keeping the opposite side at 1/4 with the belly 100% full. Seems to put out a really good wave.

Do u think with me being a bigger guy on bigger board I’ll still get a good enough “rebound pop” on my Ollie off the wake at 11.5 and not slow down the board too much?

Your board is sized appropriately so I don’t think it’ll affect you very much if at all. More water pressure does make the wave harder but also makes it harder to land other tricks.
