Have a 79 nautique going thru a rebuild, (thread in the resto section). It has a monster tower that i'm 50/50 putting back on, really needs a bimini but while looking at where they attach vs where the tower was mounted it finally dawned on me about the ski rope.
the towers rear legs are mounted in line port thru starb w/ the pylon and it looks goofy. The guy i bought the boat from is tall and i just figured it was positioned that way so he wouldnt hit his head.
so how many degrees or how far up the gunnel would the rope go just recreational skiing?
If the tower goes back on i would want to move the rear legs backward (rear of dog box) or until there is only 6' headroom under the tower
front legs as needed.
thanks![Click image for larger version
